This crustacean lives in the sand and mud beds of seas and oceans in depths that can vary between 20 and 250 m.

Its shell, covered in ribs and spines, is pale pinkish orange, with reddish accents and white spots.

It has a characteristic sweet taste.

From a nutritional point of view, it’s rich in minerals (potassium, selenium, magnesium and calcium), and in vitamins (vitamin E and vitamin B12).

Crustacean that inhabits white and muddy bottoms and lives at depths, generally between 200-400 m.

Although underwater they appear transparent, on the surface their color transforms into an almost red pink, with the bluish hue of the shell.

One of the best-known prawns is the one from Palamós (Catalonia), a very intense red and prized for its fine, firm and tasty meat.
