The curled octopus is a cephalopod mollusc with eight tentacles equipped with suckers.

Its colouration varies from yellowish to reddish orange, depending on where it lives.

This octopus is common in the western Mediterranean, parts of the eastern Mediterranean and in the eastern Atlantic.

It’s high in protein, rich in vitamins (B12, B3, B6 and E) and minerals (iodine, selenium, calcium, sodium) and low in fat.

The curled octopus is a prized culinary delicacy.
